Dash 8 First Officers

This is a non-commuting, permanent contract, and requires the candidate to relocate and live in Australia. Aircraft: DHC8 Base: Cairns, Australia (and potentially other cities in Australia) Annual Leave: 42 days Roster: Pilots based in Cairns can fly around 80-85 hours a month. Pilots will have 2 days off per week and the schedule is from 7am to 2pm; 2 weekends off per month and every 2 weeks you will have doubles finishing at 4pm. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Requirements: All candidates that hold an ICAO/FAA/EASA licences other than a CASA Australia licence will be required to have a valid instrument rating on time of employment with at least 10 months validity and medical from the country of issue of the licence with at least 12 months validity. The new crew member on joining will be required to convert their licence within 6 months of joining the company, and the company will assist you in converting their license and guide you with all regulatory matters. There will be a training bond (24months/ $30000.00 AUD) if you are not type rated on the DHC 8 and a type rating initial endorsement is required. The following is the selection criteria for the role: FIRST OFFICER The following is the selection criteria for the role: A current CPL or ATPL 1000+ hours total time Minimum of 300 hours in multi-engine aircraft Multi-Engine Instrument Rating Type Rating (DHC8) preferred but not essential Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate English Language Proficiency Level 6 - non-flexible Last Flight on a turbo prop aircraft within 12 month - non-flexible The ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Ideal candidates should come from the Oceania region as first choice due to licence conversion issue. However, we are open to review experienced candidates outside of this region.

We are hiring Dash 8 First Officers for our client, PNG Air, Papua New Guinea's next generation airline and largest domestic operator in the country. These are direct hire and permanent positions. PNG Air has been providing aviation services for over 35 years. The Airline’s safety culture is integrated into all its activities, starting with the motto “Safety First: It’s everyone’s business”. They currently operate a mixed fleet of ATR 72-600 and Dash 8-100 which are well suited to the PNG environment with both fleet's ability to operate into all the major strips in PNG with excellent uplift capability. As the airline are scheduled to phase out their Dash 8 fleet by the end of 2025, Dash 8 pilots will have the possibility to be transferred to ATR 72-600. A commuting contract offering 8 consecutive days off, plus 2 travel days per month, with flights on Fiji Airways network with the addition of a new Dallas route!
